探索频道的一个美食真人秀节目，每集都有一个家庭厨师对阵五个专业厨师，家庭厨师选出自己最有信心的五个食谱进行参赛，根据对手大厨的履历，选出最适合的菜谱进行对决，以避开他们最擅长的烹饪领域来尽量提高赢面，五个大厨轮番上阵，和家庭厨师煮同一个食谱（但并不严格，大厨们经常会随意改动食谱，例如曲奇配牛奶，没有限定曲奇怎么制作，看上去像个饼干就行），同一集里越后面出场的厨师，在业界的声誉就越高，做出来的菜式交由五位普通美国民众进行投票评选
