Seeking the whereabouts of international gangster Nick Randall, the U.S. State Department seeks the help of Scotland Yard. Nick's girl, Angela, is currently in a British prison, but has refused to give Nick away. So the authorities contact Gran' Ramsey, a stoolie currently at the same prison as Angela, to have her arrange an escape for Angela, so the police can follow her to Nick. Gran' stages a getaway, the two women taking with them a third, Marguerite, whose prison-born baby is about to be turned over to the welfare department.
