On an alien planet populated by mechanical lifeforms, a citizen named Clyde (Computer Linked Yield Driven Entity) is banished for developing a sense of humor, a concept frowned upon by the members of his world. He eventually crashes on Earth, where he is found by two children, Samantha and her brother Max, who install him into their father's jukebox.
