Morris Price (David Suchet) is a father desperate to rescue his daughter from the hands of a group of merciless kidnappers. The tension slowly mounts over each episode as the family are blackmailed by the mysterious kidnappers, and consider meeting their half-a-million-pound ransom demand. 很反映人性的一部剧。中产家庭因为女儿被绑，用巨额赎金交换女儿自由身，但中产家庭也因此一夜见贫。后面女儿可能有点斯德哥尔摩，还怀了绑匪的baby。女儿上头执意要生，爸爸气的决裂家庭关系，妈妈无奈默默支持女儿，然后这爸可就出轨了（辣鸡）。结局以孩子不小心钓出绑匪并拿到了一些赎金结尾。
