Plot Summary:Robert and his son, Bobby, are having a difficult time in Oslo, Norway during WW2. Robert is trying to take care of his son, but at the same time he is struggling with his addiction to alcohol, women and scams. Bobby befriends a German soldier, who is teaching him fencing, but Bobby's connection to his father is mixed-up between idolizing and observing his many mistakes.
