Three family members each learn the cruelties of love and sexuality.

Plot Summary:In the forgotten corners of rural Virginia, Sheryl struggles to balance her work as a housekeeper and raising her two sons, fifteen year-old Marc and eleven year-old Stephen. Hoping to meet the love of her life and bring home a father for her boys, she frequents a depressing, weekly mixer for the towns aging singles set. Meanwhile, Marc is desperate to lose his virginity, and spends his days working at a used car lot. And his brother Stephen, in the throes of sexual discovery, becomes infatuated with his school teacher while hoping to win the approval of a group of peers who adamantly detest her.

电影一开场给我的感觉就是“我没有这样的弟弟”（我冇啲咁嘅细佬），再来给我感觉是这家人没有一点爱，每个人的性萌动各自画地为牢，无交集，于是结尾一家人去游乐场搭摩天轮的戏更是毫无预兆让人摸不着头脑。总之整出戏逻辑性欠缺。（吐槽一下：走铁轨已经变成拍拖常见的戏码了吗？）第三人看过。

典型的小成本电影，像在白描单亲母亲带着两个小孩在内陆闭塞小镇的生活。没有人造光也没有降噪处理，道格玛95风格很明显。故事没什么大起大伏，情感也疏疏淡淡的。片名其实也是观感：你们完全可以再靠近一点。后半部分很拖戏。
