故事节奏虽然拖沓，但是优酷点开后，被克洛伊回眸两个少年的眼神所吸引，继续看了下去，年轻的面容，厚重的眼影和蔑视的眼神。随着剧情展开，看似无忧无虑的两个少年，各有各的家庭问题，看似唯唯诺诺的女孩玛丽，有着内心深重的自我谴责。后来每段背景音乐也很切景，就随手记录一下故事情节吧。
克洛伊一直是成熟太妹，似乎热衷欺凌，妈妈是常自愿被潜规则的小演员，离婚两次，他们从纽约来，不太关心她。父亲也似乎与她决裂。得知父亲婚礼没有邀请她，那个镜头，她在家自残，总让人无法怪罪。
男孩一尼克的主持人父亲失业，破产，房子断供（门口foreclosure的牌子放了六个月）要被收回，他们面临着搬家。
男孩二杰森家庭有钱有产业，在私立高中上学，因为伪造成绩单被开除，被父亲骂“从来没做成一件事过”。
玛丽是母亲去世的乖乖女，一直谴责自己害死了母亲，有点蠢，喜欢尼克。
故事高潮是他们潜入陌生人家里恶作剧，情节衔接地不错，节奏步步紧张，配乐完美。最后玛丽走了，克洛伊走了，留下两个兄弟，在冲浪板上争吵。
杰森说“女孩都是一样的，只是假装不同”这句有点显示他不是那么蠢，尼克终于生气走掉，浑浑噩噩、不知善恶的四个青少年啊 😂
想去加州玩，加州男孩都像杰森一样这么热情、单纯、真诚、愚蠢吗？😂
不过豆瓣三分低了，比中国一些四分片好得多，所以弥补性三星。希望引入负分制度…

The group dynamic is severely lacking here because there is no reason given for why these guys are so easily manipulated, they have zero sense of self-worth, and don’t really resemble any human being. Chloe isn’t much better because there’s no reason for us to care why she’s so insidious. She’s just another annoying Californian teen high on her looks and offers nothing else. There is no chemistry within this group, nor anything compelling.
Not surprisingly, “California Scheming” can’t overcome any of these character deficiencies. The camera work looked good – crisp, clean, clear and bright shots, and even managed some interesting effects from pool reflections. But the acting was shaky at best, and the mysterious atmosphere just got really annoying because it didn’t lead anywhere quickly or interestingly. It’s probably supposed to be a thriller but it ends up being nothing.

All three of them are pretty, shallow, and rich and quickly become close friends. However, they end up meeting a shy girl (played here by Rachel Seiferth) who objects to the way they treat their pet sea gull. The shy girl and the more sensitive of the two boys end up becoming a couple. In Last Summer, this leads to the shy girl being raped. In California Scheming, it leads to Mantegna convincing her three friends to break into a house with her, at which point the film’s plot takes a uniquely disturbing turn of its own.
California Scheming has been getting some terrible reviews but I rather liked it. The film looks great, the cast is pretty enough that it really doesn’t matter that they’re not great actors, and director Marco Weber does a good job at creating and maintaining a persistent atmosphere of both suffocating ennui and impending doom. The most frequent complaint that I’ve seen about California Scheming is that, up until the final few minutes, nothing really happens in the film but I think that’s the point. California Scheming is a portrait of people who, as a result of having everything, are doomed to accomplish nothing. As a result, California Scheming may not be entertaining in the conventional sense of the word but, when taken on its own terms, it’s something of a minor existential masterpiece.
批注：Foreclosure，简单可称之为法拍房，是指屋主在无法偿还贷款之后，被银行强行收回后，由银行进行拍卖的情况。银行需要通过拍卖形式，最大程度的弥补借贷上的损失，最快的拿到买主无法偿还的贷款。在这一过程中，买方是与银行沟通，现金交易比较占优势。但通常由于原来的屋主因为长时间没有资金进行房屋维护，拍卖房屋都需要进行一些大的修补工作，但同时拍卖价格也比市场价格要低很多。
但是其实在Foreclosure也分为三个阶段，第一阶段为Pre-foreclosure，房主出现拖欠贷款的情况，银行就可以向当地的法院申请记录，并向房主寄出欠款通知，即Notice of Delinquent，以示警告。在这种情况下，有经济条件的屋主会尽快还款，如果欠款时间过长，银行可以根据情况向房主发出违约通知，即Notice of Default，最为最后的警告。第二阶段是Foreclosure， 即Notice of Default 两个月后，房主仍无力改善还款状况，银行将有权进行公开拍卖。
